Sand Loop Level 202 Guide: The Cactus Bookshelf Puzzle

This isn't a speed level. Sand Loop Level 202 is a digging expedition. You are looking at a pixel art piece featuring a Cactus in a Pot alongside a Red, Green, and Blue Book on a shelf. The art looks simple, almost retro, but the tray layout is a nightmare of buried colors and frozen blockers. The hook here is the severe lack of accessible Yellow and Green cups early on. They are buried under stacks of Red and Blue, forcing you to clear colors you might not need immediately just to reach the ones you do.

Sand Loop Level 202 Solution: The Cactus Library

The artwork dictates your rhythm. You are painting a shelf with distinct, solid blocks of color, but the devil is in the details.

  • Color Palette: The dominant colors are Red (pot, shelf, book) and Cream/White (background). You also have Green (cactus, middle book), Blue (right book), and Yellow (book details).
  • The "Danger Zones": The Yellow stripes on the book spines are the killers. There are very few Yellow cups in the tray, and they are located deep in the central columns. If you mistakenly send a Yellow cup when the nozzle is pouring Cream or Red, you might waste a critical resource and have to restart.
  • Fill Order Prediction: The game will likely prioritize the large Red blocks (the shelf and pot) first. Following that, it usually tackles the Green cactus body. The background Cream fill is massive, requiring a steady stream of white cups throughout the entire level.

Tackling the Frozen Buckets in Sand Loop Level 202

The specific obstacle stopping you here isn't a key; it's the Numbered Ice Buckets.

Look at the bottom corners of your tray. You have buckets encased in ice with numbers like '3' and '4'. These are proximity locks. They do not open until you clear 3 or 4 cups directly adjacent to them.

This changes your entire strategy. You cannot just pick cups based on the painting's needs. You have to pick cups that are touching these Ice Buckets to chip away at their counters. If you ignore them, you will run out of available cups in the main stack and deadlock with a full belt (5/5) and no matches.

Sand Loop Level 202 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Clearing the Top Layer Scramble

Your belt has a 5-slot capacity. Use it. The level starts with a mess of White and Red cups at the very top of the jagged columns.

  1. Tap the exposed White and Red cups immediately. Get them onto the belt. The painting has huge areas of Red (the shelf) and White (the wall) that need filling right now.
  2. Do not touch the Blue or Green cups buried in the second layer yet. They are blocked.
  3. Watch the nozzle. If it switches to Red, prioritize sending Red cups to keep the belt moving. Stagnation is death here.

Breaking the '3' and '4' Ice Counters

Once the top layer of debris is gone, you will expose the cups touching the Frozen Buckets at the bottom left (counter '4') and middle-right (counter '3').

  1. Focus on the Right Side first. The '3' counter is easier to break than the '4'.
  2. Identify the cups touching the '3' bucket. They look to be Red and White in the screenshot. Clear them even if the painting doesn't desperately need that color right this second. The goal is to unlock that bucket to get more space.
  3. Every time you clear a cup touching the ice, the number drops. 3... 2... 1... Crack.
  4. Once the Right bucket breaks, it releases a flood of cups that usually helps unblock the center.

Excavating the Yellow Stripes

Now for the precision work. You need Yellow for the details on the books, but looking at the tray, the Yellow cups are sandwiched in the middle columns, sitting under layers of Blue and Red.

  1. You must aggressively clear the Blue column in the center-left.
  2. Be careful. The painting only has one Blue book. If you send too many Blue cups to the belt before the Blue book is ready to be painted, they will clog your 5 slots.
  3. Feather your taps. Send one Blue cup, wait for it to pour. Then send the next.
  4. Once the Yellow cups are exposed, send them only when the painting indicator highlights the book spines. Do not waste them.

The Final Cream Flood

The last 20% of the level is almost entirely the Cream/White background. By now, you should have cracked the '4' Ice Bucket on the left. This corner often hides a reserve of White cups. If you haven't cracked it by the time the main image is done, you will fail because you won't have enough White paint to finish the wall. Ensure you are chipping away at that left corner throughout the mid-game so the White cups are ready for the final sprint.
