Sand Loop Level 88 Guide: The Pixel Whale Puzzle

This level features a charming pixel art piece of a Whale jumping out of the water. It’s a "Key Unlocking" level disguised as a painting challenge. The central column is your enemy here. It is heavily fortified with high-HP Ice Blocks that protect a crucial Blue Key at the very bottom.

Speed is less important than inventory management in Sand Loop 88. You have a generous 5-slot capacity on the conveyor belt, but because many cups are tied together with Ropes, those slots fill up twice as fast as you expect.

Sand Loop Level 88 Solution: The Pixel Whale

The art itself is split into distinct horizontal bands, which helps you plan your pours.

  • Color Palette:

    • Dark Green & Light Green: The bottom third of the image (the grass/waves).
    • Cream/White: The whale's belly and the clouds in the sky.
    • Dark Blue: The main outline and shadows of the whale.
    • Cyan (Light Blue): The sky background and the whale's lighter body parts.
  • The "Danger Zones": The biggest risk here is the sky vs. whale body confusion. Both use blue tones. If you waste your limited Cyan cups on the sky early on, you won't have the ammunition needed to break the massive Cyan Ice Block (33 HP) in the center. Save your heavy-hitting colors for the ice blocks first.

  • Fill Order Prediction: Focus on the Green base first. It’s a large, safe area to dump green sand. This clears your hand of Green cups so you can focus on the Blues and Creams needed for the complex central column.

Tackling the Central Ice Tower in Sand Loop Level 88

The specific obstacle defining this level is the stacked vertical tower in the middle of the tray. It is a dependency nightmare.

  1. Top Lock: A Green Cup locked behind a key.
  2. Blue Ice (15 HP): Blocks everything below. Requires Blue sand/cups to break efficiently.
  3. Trapped Cups: A Cream cup and a Cyan cup are physically stuck between the ice blocks.
  4. Cyan Ice (33 HP): A massive tank of a block. Requires a lot of Cyan sand.
  5. The Blue Key: Buried at the very bottom.

You cannot access the key until you chew through 48 total points of ice HP. This means you must prioritize freeing Blue and Cyan cups from the sides to act as "ice picks" for the center.

Sand Loop Level 88 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

This level requires you to peel back the layers from the outside in. Do not tap the central column yet; it's useless until you have the right colors.

1. Clear the "Free" Side Cups

Your first move should be targeting the loose Green and Cream cups at the top left and right corners.

  • Tap the Green cups. The bottom of the canvas is green. This is an easy match.
  • Tap the Cream/White cups. Use them on the whale’s belly or the clouds.
  • Why? This frees up physical space in the tray. You need empty tiles to maneuver the roped bundles coming next.

2. Crack the "6" Blocks

Once the top corners are clear, you expose the two small White Ice Blocks (6 HP) flanking the center.

  • You need Cream/White sand to break these quickly.
  • Fortunately, you just cleared some Cream cups. If the conveyor loops back, use them here.
  • Breaking these blocks releases two more cups, keeping your flow going without clogging the belt.

3. Handle the Roped Bundles

Now things get tricky. The Roped Cups on the far left and right bind a Blue Cup to a Green Cup.

  • The Trap: Tapping one rope consumes 2 slots of your 5-slot capacity immediately.
  • The Strategy: Ensure you have at least 2 empty slots before tapping a rope.
  • The Goal: You desperately need those Blue Cups. The central Ice Block has 15 HP and is Blue. You must send these Blue cups to the dispenser to chip away at that 15 HP block. Dump the attached Green cups on the grass at the bottom of the canvas to get rid of them.

4. Demolish the 15 HP Blue Block

With the Blue cups from the ropes, target the Central Blue Ice (15).

  • Don't worry about painting the whale's dark blue outline yet. The Ice Block is priority #1.
  • Once this block shatters, the Cream and Cyan cups trapped underneath will pop up.

5. The "Mystery Cup" Gamble

You are likely short on Cyan cups to break the massive 33 HP Cyan Block.

  • Look at the bottom corners. The "?" Mystery Cups are your reinforcements.
  • Start tapping them now. They usually contain the specific colors required for the current stage of the level.
  • Use any Cyan cups you find strictly on the 33 HP Ice Block. Do not paint the sky yet. The sky can wait. The ice must go.

6. The Key and the Cleanup

Once the 33 HP block breaks, the Blue Key is exposed.

  • Collect the key. This unlocks the final Green Cup at the very top center.
  • At this point, the "puzzle" part is over. You have full access to all cups.
  • Burn through the remaining colors to fill the sky and the final details of the whale. Keep an eye on the conveyor capacity—don't get lazy and overfill it right at the end.
