Sand Loop Level 117 Guide: The Synthwave City Puzzle
This level features a retro-style "Synthwave City" skyline. It’s definitely a logic-heavy level rather than a speed run. You are looking at a vibrant sunset scene with a distinct vertical hierarchy: a dark red silhouette at the bottom, purple/pink buildings in the middle, and a bright yellow sky at the top.
The hook here is the Vertical Dependency. Because sand physics dictate that the first cups you pour settle at the bottom of the frame, you are strictly forced to pour Dark Red first. If you get impatient and pour the available Yellows too early, they will settle at the bottom, ruining your skyline base and forcing a restart.
Sand Loop Level 117 Solution: Analyzing the Layers
Before you tap anything, look at the target image on the top screen. You need to mentally separate the layers because your pour order must match the gravity of the sand pile.
- Layer 1 (The Base): Dark Red. This is your absolute priority. The entire bottom stripe of the canvas is this dark crimson color. You cannot transition to other colors until a solid red foundation is laid.
- Layer 2 (The Mid-City): Purple and Pink. These form the buildings sitting on the red base. They are safer to pour once the red is about 50% done, but keep them centered.
- Layer 3 (The Sky): Yellow and Orange. These go last. The level traps you by placing these cups at the very top of your tray stacks, tempting you to pour them first. Resist that urge.
The Danger Zone: The "10" Ice Block on the left. It is sitting directly on top of three essential Dark Red cups. You have to break this ice without flooding your canvas with the wrong colors that are sitting on top of it.
Tackling the "20" Ice Block in Sand Loop 117
The biggest obstacle in Level 117 is the isolated island on the top right containing a 20-count Ice Block sitting on a Gold Key.
This is a Patience Trap. The number "20" means you must clear 20 cups from anywhere on the board before this ice shatters. You cannot rush this key. It is designed to be a late-game unlock. Many players panic because they can't reach it, but you are supposed to ignore it initially. Focus on playing the rest of the board efficienty; the ice will break naturally as you progress. Once it does, the key drops, likely opening the Gold Bar gate at the bottom center.
Sand Loop Level 117 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1. Excavating the Right-Side Reds
Your first moves must hunt for Dark Red. Look at the column on the far right (above the bottom-right key). It has a pattern of Dark Red -> Yellow -> Dark Red.
- Tap the first Dark Red cup immediately.
- You will hit a Yellow cup next. You have to be careful here. If you can, wait for the nozzle to be over the far edges (where the sky might touch the ground) to pour this "waste" Yellow, or just accept a small error to get to the Dark Red underneath it.
- Grab that second Dark Red. This starts your base.
2. Cracking the Left "10" Block
Now look at the left side. You have a stack of mixed colors (Orange/Pink/Yellow) sitting on top of a Blue "10" Ice Block.
- You need the three Dark Red cups trapped under that ice.
- Start clearing the cups above the ice. Since these are mostly Pink/Purple/Orange, try to time them so they land in the middle of the pile (where the buildings will go) rather than the corners.
- Every cup you clear lowers the counter on both the "10" block and the "20" block.
- Once the "10" block shatters, unleash those three Dark Red cups immediately to finish your bottom layer.
3. The Mid-Game Purple Shift
Once your Red base is solid, the pressure eases off. You should have access to the middle-left columns now, which are rich in Purple and Pink.
- Pour these continuously to build the city structures.
- Keep an eye on the Mystery Cups (?) at the bottom. As you clear space, these will reveal themselves. They are often useful filler colors, but don't rely on them for your primary layers.
4. The Final Sky and Gold Key
By the time you are done with the purple buildings, you will have cleared enough cups to shatter the "20" Ice Block on the top right.
- The Gold Key will drop.
- This key opens the Gold Bar gate at the bottom center, releasing the final reserve of cups (usually the last batch of Yellow/Orange for the sky).
- Now you can freely pour all the remaining Yellow and Orange cups to fill the top of the canvas and complete the sunset.
