Sand Loop Level 46 Guide: The Lion Cub Puzzle

Identify the Art: This level features a pixel art Lion Cub. It has a large orange mane, a white face, dark red facial features, and sits on a bright green background. Type: This is a Logic Level. Speed won't help you here; play order is everything. If you pull the wrong cup, you block the conveyor. The Hook: The puzzle is a "digging" mission. The keys you desperately need to open the center are buried at the very bottom of the side stacks, protected by ice.

Sand Loop Level 46 Solution: The Lion

Look at the canvas. The color distribution dictates your flow.

  • Color Palette:
    • Orange: The dominant color for the mane.
    • White: The center face area.
    • Dark Red: Used sparingly for the eyes, mouth, and paws.
    • Green: The solid background.
  • The "Danger Zones": The Dark Red pixels are the trap here. You have several Dark Red cups in the supply tray, but the art only needs a few drops at specific times (eyes/paws). If you load a Dark Red cup onto the conveyor before the painting is ready for it, it will sit there, clogging one of your 5 precious slots.
  • Fill Order Prediction: The painting usually fills the center mass first. Expect to need Orange and White immediately. The Green background is likely the final layer, so don't panic if your Green cups aren't pouring yet.

Tackling the Cross-Lock Mechanism in Sand Loop Level 46

The specific obstacle defining Sand Loop 46 is the Cross-Key Setup.

  • The Red Lock is on the left side, but the Red Key is buried at the bottom right.
  • The Yellow Lock is on the right side, but the Yellow Key is buried at the bottom left.

This means you cannot just focus on one side to open up the board. You have to grind down both outer columns simultaneously to get the keys. Until you get those keys, the entire center of the tray (the easiest cups to access) is completely frozen. You are forced to play the edges.

Sand Loop Level 46 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

The supply tray is tight. You have a 5-slot limit. One mistake can deadlock you. Follow this dependency chain strictly.

1. Breaking the Ice (The Outer Columns)

Your first moves must be on the far left and far right columns. Ignore the center cups; they are useless right now.

  • The Ice Blocks (marked with a '3') on row 3 are blocking the path to the keys.
  • To break them, you must clear the cups touching them.
  • Tap the Green cups on the top left and top right. Follow up with the White cups beneath them.
  • As these cups pour onto the canvas (likely filling the background or face), the Ice Blocks will take damage and shatter.

2. The Deep Dig for Keys

Once the ice shatters, you aren't done. You still need to clear the cups that were under the ice to let the keys drop.

  • You will see Dark Red cups exposed on the sides.
  • Caution: Check your canvas progress. If the Lion's eyes or paws aren't ready to be painted, do not tap these Red cups yet. If you do, they will ride the belt endlessly. Wait for the "paint line" on the canvas to hit the red pixels.
  • Once the Red cups are clear, tap the Yellow Key (bottom left) and Red Key (bottom right).

3. The Center Flood

As soon as the keys hit the sensor, the Red and Yellow Locks in the middle columns vanish.

  • This releases a massive amount of Orange and Green cups.
  • The Orange cups are critical now. The Lion's mane requires a lot of sand. Start feeding the Orange cups into the mix to clear the backlog.
  • Keep an eye on your slot capacity (the 0/5 counter). The center unlocks quickly, and it's tempting to tap everything. Don't. Keep 1 slot open at all times for emergencies.

4. The Green Cleanup

By the time you reach the bottom of the tray, you'll be left with mostly Green cups.

  • The background is the last thing to finish.
  • If you have stray Green cups clogging your conveyor earlier in the level, don't worry. They will eventually drain as the Lion rotates.
  • Just ensure you don't accidentally prioritize Green over the vital Orange/White needed to finish the main sprite.
